Kathy Sheridan

about

Color, drama, and a sense of mood are all qualities Kathy is sure to incorporate in a photoshoot–bringing every image to life.

Growing up Kathy always remembered helping her father, Ken Boyd, with his photography. As a professional photographer for over 30 years, there were so many occasions in which he needed an extra hand. If she wasn't modeling for him, she was staging things, setting his lights or scouting for other compositions. She learned a lot over the years and it is because of him that she now finds herself setting up her own lights and shooting her own images.

For almost ten years, Kathy has been working closely with advertising agencies. Today, she works as a Senior Art Director at o2 ideas, an award-winning advertising agency in Birmingham. Working at an ad agency gives her the opportunity to photograph for a wide variety of clients and continues to gain her a great deal of skill, knowledge and understanding about the industry.

Compelled to give back, Kathy has been a photography instructor at Samford University in Birmingham Alabama for over 8 years now. Along side with teaching, she is a major contributor with the Shades Valley Camera Club–planning events and programs.

If there are opportunities to collaborate and create together, let’s talk. We would love to hear about your unique project.
